I do not know how your existing RV antennae is configured but what I did with mine on my RV was to mount a regular antennae pole fixed to the side of my ladder that was mounted to the back with hose clamps. Then I mounted my antennae and ran the coax cable inside from there. My antennae did not extend any higher than my rooftop AC unit so it was not problem. This unit has hardware that could allow it to be mounted either to the roof directly or as I had mine installed. The arms fold in on this model so could be used for this purpose. Also would be easy to remove from pole if need be. As to the height, it varies as far as reception is concerned with obstructions such as trees, buildings, etc. But I have very good results from this antennae even indoors so I would think that it would work well in my opinion.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. There is a pole and all mounting hardware needed to mount to roof or the like. I actually mounted mine where the old mounting bracket for the dish was. Works like a charm. I believe the only height requirement is to remove it from being obstructed by trees, buildings etc...
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It can be installed on an existing antenna mast. It comes with a "U" clamp that will fit up to a 2 inch diameter pipe. It seems to work fine with my Samsung smart TV. I have it fixed so I don't know if direction makes a difference. I suspect that I may get more channels if I installed a rotor BUT the TV itself makes a big difference. The 40" Samsung was replaced after the antenna. The Samsung found twice as many channels as the other TV and they all were much clearer. The other TV was just 2 years old, a Hisense "40 smart TV but wasn't very smart. I was finally able to get high speed internet but the Hisense would not connect. I spent hours with tech support on three different occasions, did two factory resets and was finally told that there was a problem with the WIFI in the TV itself. Since it was out of the one year warranty, they said it was my problem. Long and short the Samsung way outperformed the Hisense in all respects, from set up to everything else. Hisense online tech support is useless. When I tried to download the manual, all that I got was an error code. They finally emailed me a a copy of the user manual, which didn't help.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It didn't come with a poll. Mine is hanging out of the window right now and gets ten channels. Very clear reception.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. We installed it inside on second floor and get 40+ channels. It says it can be mounted outside which should give even better reception, but we have no experience with that.
