I didn't and it works great. And mine extended beyond 50'
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Nope, I have this setup split 3-ways and need no amp to get good signal. An amp may stabilize or help receive channels at the edge of its range (about 40-50 miles), but it is by no means requires.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.more than likely
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have mine mounted where an old satellite dish was previously mounted. Then through a splitter and into the pre existing wiring in the house. I am guessing it is about 80-100 feet to both tvs I have plugged in. The broadcasting stations are about 20-30 miles away. I get a good strong signal from every station within range. You may need an amp if your broadcasting stations are on the outer limits of the range of the antenna.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I would suggest a preamp attached on the mast with a short cable to the antenna if you have any DTV converter boxes on older tube TVs or are 25+ miles from the towers.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have a 50' run and it's split to two tuners, no preamp. It works great. I did a scan before and after the split and there was no difference. You need to have a good splitter (avoid the cheap ones) and tight connections. Going with four splits it wouldn't hurt to have a distribution amp connected as close to the antenna as possible, but I would suggest trying it without an amp first.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I believe you will need a powered amplifier if your going to split the signal four ways regardless.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. We did not need an amplifier.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I'd say yes, with the splitter and long run. Amps work better closer to the antenna but that may not be an option.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. If you split the line it will loose quality of reception. but a amp will help
