With any OTA digital antennae, direct line of sight to the broadcast tower is critical. So short answer to your question, Yes trees or other structures will interfere with signal quality. It also does matter which direction an OTA antennae is pointed and not all stations lie in the same direction.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Talk trees can interfere. Our house is surrounded by them. We have ours bolted right to the roof so it is not high. It has to be directed between trees to get best broadcasting so you have to move it around until you get the best reception, a lot of trial and error.. We tried several indoor and outdoor antennas and this worked the best and not too costly.

Please try again later. The Clearstream 4 Max needs to be aimed towards the broadcasting towers, and should be placed in a situation where it has the clearest possible line of sight to the broadcasting towers. It is best to avoid aiming at trees. They can interfere with reception. Please contact our Technical Support team for more support.
