I bought my first smart tv. I also bought this because I wanted my local channels. This covers about 70 mile radius and I get all my channels! I’m happy with this purchase. I use it indoors only . It’s kinda big but I don’t care if I get my channels.

A digital tuner allows a TV to receive digital television (DTV) signals broadcast over-the-air by local TV stations. Check the owner's manual that came with your TV or on manufacturers website. you can also Look on the front and back of the TV for a marking that indicates a digital tuner. It might say ATSC, DTV, HDTV, Digital Ready, HD Ready, Digital Tuner, Digital Receiver, Digital Tuner Built-in or Integrated Digital Tuner. If not you will need to buy a separate Digital TV Converter Box. I also highly recommend a Signal Drop Amplifier to be used with this excellent antenna Best Buy has a few affordable options you’ll also need to download a free signal/TV Broadcast tower finder app or go to the free websites to find The direction of your local broadcast towers so you know which way to aim the antenna the apps work the best though by using your Devices location
