It all depends on how many TVs it will be feeding, and also how far you are away from your broadcast market. I used one because I am feeding two TVs, and I am 52 miles from my broadcast market.

We wouldn't want to you buy something that you may not need. This is what we generally tell people about preamplifiers. To determine if you need a preamplifier, you will first need to make sure your antenna is pointed in the direction of your local broadcast towers. Connect only one TV or converter box to the antenna. Perform a channel scan using the remote control for your TV/converter box. If you are not able to receive all of your local TV stations, then there is a good chance you need a preamplifier to help boost the weak signals. We have preamplifiers on our website - Juice Preamplifier is mostly recommended.
