The cable length can be as long as you need it to be. You may need a distribution amplifier like Antennas Direct CDA8 sold on Best Buy. A distribution amplifier is usually used when 50 feet or more of coaxial cable is used between the antenna and the TV. Also when splitting signals, this could result in a certain amount of signal loss. Distribution amplifiers counter this loss by boosting the available signal from the coaxial cable coming from the TV antenna. Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. In my setup, I have the antenna mounted in the attic. The RG6 cable runs from the antenna down to my basement for a total of about 100 feet to a cable amplifier. The cable amplifier then feeds a two way splitter. The two feeds off of the splitter go in two different directions. One goes about 50 feet to the first floor. The second one goes about 80 feet back up to the second floor. I live 52 miles away from my major broadcast market, and get every channel available. This is a great product
