• There is no software necessary. Simple plug and play. I am using this as a viewing screen for my NVR as well.

• You would not load software to the monitor. It is simply a plug and play via HDMI cable. It is used simply as a monitor...no driver required. I use mine as a second screen to enhance my productivity at work.
