Softof but not really. It is possible to open the unit and replace the battery BUT the manufacturer does NOT intend for the average end-user to do that. There is no pop-open battery door
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.yes, i have one and it DOES have a battery door to replace battery BUT where do I buy these batteries?
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Regardless what manufacturers support states here 3 years ago , the fact is the battery absolutely can be replaced as easy as one in a power wheels, and is available online for $15-$35
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I've had about 10 or more UPS's in my time, and the batteries could ALL be replaced, which is something worth doing, rather than just dump some more electronics in a landfill, not to mention that the battery price is about half the cost of a new unit. On some, it's easy, just press a release switch to open it up, disconnect the cables, put in the new battery, and reverse the procedure from there. On some, it's a bit more difficult, and you have to unscrew a few screws, but the rest of the process is pretty much the same. If you look it up in YouTube, I'm almost certain you will find the best video(s) showing how.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. Not to beat a dead horse, but YES, the battery can be easily replaced with minimal skill. If you don't have the most basic skills take it to a Battery + or anyone to do it. ** TAKE AWAY - NEVER BUY ONE THAT YOU CAN'T REPLACE THE BATTERY. That's wasteful for $$ and for creating additional waste to the landfills. There are plenty of things you can use this for: TV, computer, charging phones or flashlights, etc. Regrettably, the don't express the battery capacity in Amp Hours (Ah) or Watt Hours (Wh). But know that the capacity of these old school UPS (which has been largely unchanged, using relatively cheap Sealed Lead Acid batteries which are common, and cheap and in Golf Carts, Lawn Mowers (basically small versions of what's in your car) have been around for years. Newer "Power Stations" can provide considerably more capability. Hopefully we'll see some real change/growth on this end going forward.
