• If you are looking at both surge protection and the ability to run during power failures, this should work. The igniter should be piezo, which draws very little power.

• Without knowing how much power it draws one cannot say. Somewhere on the unit or in the documentation you should be able to find that info.

• Thank you for your inquiry. Unfortunately we do not recommend our BackUPS units with water heater. They are designed to be ran with computer equipment. I apologize for any inconvenience this has caused.
