When the fridge is kicking in it likely is triggering the battery backup. So it's working as designed.. I noticed the same when I had a power drill on the same circuit and it would click when I ran the drill. Should be okay but may also not be fully charging the battery.

I recommend adjusting the sensitivity on the UPS. To do this you would first turn off the UPS while connected to a wall outlet. Press and hold the ON/OFF button for 10 seconds. The POWER button will alternate green-red to indicate that the Back-UPS is in Program mode. The POWER button will flash either green, amber, or red to indicate the current sensitivity level. I would drop it down to low which would have a green LED. Please do not hesitate to contact an APCbySchneider support team if you need any further assistance.
