“I have it on my houseboat because when the boat is running on my inverter the fridge would pull to much power on it's start up and shut my LED tv off. Now with this back up device it does not do that anymore but the back up device makes a continuous click”

When the fridge is kicking in it likely is triggering the battery backup. So it's working as designed.. I noticed the same when I had a power drill on the same circuit and it would click when I ran the drill. Should be okay but may also not be fully charging the battery.

I recommend adjusting the sensitivity on the UPS. To do this you would first turn off the UPS while connected to a wall outlet. Press and hold the ON/OFF button for 10 seconds. The POWER button will alternate green-red to indicate that the Back-UPS is in Program mode. The POWER button will flash either green, amber, or red to indicate the current sensitivity level.
