The device has internal surge protection (SP) and your external SP is really not needed. A secondary SP on the input, or output may interact with the UPS circuitry. Refer to APC article: https://www.apc.com/us/en/faqs/FA158852/
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.APC and any decent UPS manufacturer will tell you NEVER to plug a UPS into a surge protector. A good UPS is also a surge protector and should be plugged directly into the wall socket (no extension cords or "octopus" multiplexer, no power strips, straight to the wall).
