I would say that your Mom would be fine.... give it a try just to be sure. Charge up the battery on the back up.... disconnect the power to it and verify how long it powers the chair. I bet that you will be pleasantly surprised how long it supplies enough power. I believe that the battery back up sounds an alarm when the battery is nearing depletion providing her with even more piece of mind. The alarm can be silenced by just turning the battery back up off. Just remember that the battery does not last forever. It may need to be replaced within a few years so to be sure I would want to test occasionally.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It should work fine.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The chair is running a motor, an inductive load. They really aren't meant to run that type of load, because of the quick drain much like a laser printer. I don't know of too many other economic choices. You need power when commercial power is out. I would test it before you need it and occasionally after it is installed to make sure it will work and not overload the circuit breaker. Remember the lead acid batteries last about the same as car batteries. They need to be replaced some time in the future and that may be as little as every two years.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It may, but really depends on how much you use the recliner when the power goes out.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Thank you for you inquiry. It would depend on much the power lift chair draws. The UPS would only support 480 watts worth of equipment so I would just verify that it doesn't draw more than that.
