“Hello! I am interested in using this in a 1920s home with no grounded outlets. Will the slowing and diffusing surge protection of this product still work if this is plugged in to an outlet with no grounded outlets connection to the outlet? Thanks! :)”

With a device like this, any malfunction of any connected device would be directed to a nonexistent ground, and you are basically multiplying the risk of connecting a grounded device to an ungrounded plug. More to your question, the surge protection in surge protectors works by directing the surge energy - it has to go somewhere - into the grounding. If it doesn't exist, it could just dissipate by burning out the device instead. Please, for everyone's safety, do not plug any device with a ground prong into an ungrounded outlet via adapters.
