Hi Candy, There wouldn't be a difference in terms of hardware as long as both iPads are the same versions. IE, iPad Pro 10.5 vs iPad Pro 9.7 isn't an apples-to-apples comparison. iOS 10 was OK, but Apple has really made the iPad shine with iOS 11. I've been using iOS 11 since the beta and have been blown away by what my iPad could do versus on iOS 10. If you're comparing an iPad 10.5 to a 9.7, you need to ask yourself is the price difference worth it? The 10.5 has a faster processor, more RAM and a better screen (Higher res and refresh rate). Both 10.5 and 9.7 support Apple Pencil and Smart Connector accessories. I have a 10.5 and I persuaded my buddy to get a 9.7 instead because of what he would use it for. He couldn't justify the price increase with what he'd use his iPad for. Hope this helps! -Chris
