• Mixed answers from who? Just read the spec. Yes, both have a USB C port, not lightning port. And this machine and the Pro have the M1 or M2 processor, meaning that the USB port is really fast. Much faster than the previous version iPad Air 4.0

• I don't know about the iPad pro, but my iPad Air 5th gen has a USB-C port. Kind of a pain as all my other Apple devices are USB.
