• A:Answer Transfer from old iPad is an option when doing initial setup. I found that I needed to move the old iPad a few times in order for them to connect, but once I did everything transferred cleanly. It also let me erase the old iPad once I was done. All of the applications and settings migrated, but I mostly use my iPad for entertainment and note taking, there may be applications that need to be tweaked after migration.

• A:Answer Yes, it works with the regular Apple Pencil like first generation one and also works with the second generation with USB-C. If you’re going to use it with a first generation Apple Pencil, however you do have to buy an adapter for charging and pairing it.

• A:Answer Yes, it's the 11th version (11th generation) of Apple's base iPad. I'm not sure why but Apple calls it the A16 iPad, based on the chip it uses. From Wikipedia: "The eleventh-generation iPad (marketed as the iPad (A16)) is a tablet computer developed and marketed by Apple as the successor of the tenth-generation iPad. It was announced on March 4, 2025, and was released on March 12, 2025."
