• No. They have a wi-fi only model. You can get a wi-fi cellular model as well.

• I didn’t purchase a cellular version, so no. I have WiFi only and I can tether if to my cell phone if I need data. My cell phone provider can be any provider that allows tethering. That way I’m never on an open WiFi network.
