“Will this cable fast charge if you use it with the original adapter that came with the iphone XR? Or do you need to buy a separate adapter if you want to fast charge your phone. The one that comes with the phone is slow at charging.”

The 12w Power Adapter will charge faster than the little square adapter that comes with an Apple phone or iPad. That's why I purchased the 12W power adapter...to replace the little square one that Apple provided in the box with my product.

It's small, more powerful, but you'll need USB-C to Lightning cable in this case. These two will definitely charge XR faster than bundled.

If you are using iPhone outlet adapter than don't expect your iPhone to be charge fast. However, you can turn on airplane mode than charge your iPhone for a little faster.
