• No I did not trade in an old Ipad mini, I passed the old one on to my husband.

• It depends on the model you want to trade in. I traded in my 2nd gen iPad Pro Wifi + Cellular Model and upgraded to the new iPad mini, and the only expense I had was paying the tax difference which was under $30.00
