Call Apple, have the serial number available and unless you have a warranty it will cost about $76 for the replacement which will get to you in about 2-3 days. I've had two replaced.

Actually i contacted Apple they do replace just one you don’t have to purchase the entire thing all over again.

I lost my right AirPod and I was worrying till I read these, make sure to keep the receipt because it will most likely have the serial number on it. Just call apple and they will provide you with the other AirPod so you don't need to spend money on a whole new set, hopefully this will help save you money. Also try to get a warranty so you won't have to pay much for the AirPod, good luck!

You can’t. As of right now once you loose them you need to buy a whole new pair. It’s something Apple will be changing for the next gen probably in 2018.

Unfortunately if you lose one you will have to replace them again as a set. They do not sell individual AirPods
