1. This unit needs to be plugged-in to electricity. 2. This unis needs to be plugged-in to a modem. Both the electric cord and modem cord are in the box. 3. Thereafter, use an Apple device (iPhone, iPad or Apple Computer for set-up instructions to name your WiFi and password protect accessing your WiFi signal. These steps can also be done via PC and Android device. You didn’t miss the User Manual, there isn’t one, only a small card in the box with 3 steps
