Yes, you can use this as an extender. Just plug it in & log onto it with airport utility on a Mac or iOS device
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes! I have an AirPort Express as my second radio. When I connect with the AirPort app on my phone it asked me if I wanted to extend my current network. I type the password to my other AirPort and that was it. So easy. It only has a power cable plugged into it. Works perfectly.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No you cant put another station in a dead area to extend it. If you can't get connection in that location the station will not have a connection to extend. You may be able to put it it in between your current one and the dead spot which may help. If you don't want to run Network cable between locations I would recommend routers that are actually designed for a mesh system. Like Goolge wifi, Orbi, or Eero.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have three Airport Express stations running. The first is attached to my xFinity modem. The next one in my living room to take care of that end on the house. The third on is in the basement. All three run well. The ones in the living room and the basement unit are on the WiFi network.
