The HomePod and HomePod Mini supports multiple languages, including Spanish. In the settings you can change Siri’s language accordingly. 

Personally I think it works best with Apple Music so it can connect to WiFi and stream music without the need of your iPhone.

It works off of your phones settings so whoever sets it up should have it switch to whatever region is needed.

It can be changed to Spanish. Siri is available in multiple languages. My daughter put the option of Spanish from Mexico, United States, Spain and Argentina
