• Once you make your iphone 7 a hotspot you should see your iphone 7 hotspot as an available connection on your ipad wifi menu. Then just connect to it.

• If you have your hot spot turned on on your iPhone, you can Bluetooth your iPad to your iPhone and surf the internet. I do it all the time.
