• Phone service uses the data that you have with your mobile carrier. This costs you money. Wi-Fi uses your internet access at home which is at little cost based on your internet package at home. A lot of stores and restaurants offer Wi-Fi for free but you need to sign into their service.

• Same functionality but, WiFi generally doesn’t add additional cost whereas using cell data will.
