• No plan select means your iPad will only use WiFi.

• No plan selected means you have not chosen an extended warranty. If you choose the WiFi version you need to choose a carrier(Verizon, AT&T, or Sprint). If you choose the WiFi + Unlocked version you can bring it to another network not mentioned such as T-mobile.
