A:AnswerNot sure if mine was brand new when I received it. The packaging and box seemed dodgy and when I got the iPad out of the box I noticed a few fingerprints on the back of the device. Took it to the genius bar at apple store and was surprised to hear that my item was brand new. So I can only guess that it was either a returned iPad or a refurbished one. Not going to order any apple device from Best Buy anymore.
