Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.All iOS devices work on the iOS platform. You can only send texts from your iPad if it has cellular data. If it does, then you can send/ receive any text to anyone you want, just like on an iPhone. If it does not have cellular data (only wifi) then you can not. There is probably a work around to use a 3rd party, wifi based text app (WhatsApp etc) but you'll have to investigate. If your phone carrier has web based texting (Verizon etc), you can use that. The Android Messages app can be used with any web browser, you just have to connect it to your Android phone's Messages app via a QR code. I'm an Android guy, I have a wifi only iPad, I use the Messages web page to send and receive texts on the iPad.
