I do not know the answer to this question. I continue to do the monthly payment. I do remember that the Best Buy associate who was helping me asked if I wanted to buy the phone in 1 payment or spread it out over monthly payments. I chose the monthly payments.

I paid only $100.00 for Verizon down payment and option of 24 or 36 monthly payments. 36 monthly payments $16 and change. Option to pay off full balance later time
