Best Buy will not waive or reimburse the $30 upgrade fee. You will have to call Verizon up once the upgrade fees show on an active bill. At that time verizon will be able to review your account and see how much credit they can give you. My wife and I just upgraded our phones and Verizon gave us $45 in credits. They did not meet the $60 we were charged.

If you are a Verizon customer, currently, dial 611 Verizon customer service and discuss with them... they will sometimes waive the upgrade fee, particularly if you are a long time customer in good standing on your account .
