So I already have a plan with AT&T but its under somebody else’s name under a family plan. If I buy the phone with with installment basis is it a seperate payment or would it reflect with the plan that I have now? Is there down payment if paid seperately? null

It would reflect on the Payment plan you have now. They will readjust the bill.
The down payment which is the taxes on the phone is paid when you pick up / buy the phone.
