• Yes. My iPhone 11 Pro Max screen malfunctioned by going blank while touch screen was still functioning. I knew my touch screen was still functioning because when I push on the lower left corner of my blank screen, the iPhone flashlight turns on and off. So, I used this cable to project my iphone screen to the TV screen. From there, I was able to navigate my phone because now I can see my phone screen through the TV. Long story short, using this cable projects your phone’s screen to the TV so any notifications or call will interrupt your movies. If you want no disturbance while playing movies from your phone, use apple’s AIRPLAY option via iPhone AND Apple TV.

• Yes it will. And it still interrupts for calls Only, not text messages or notifications though.
