I have a Iphone 6 with unlimited data and when I visit a relative out of town (that doesn't have cable or internet) I use it to stream Netflix without the need for Wifi. Occasionally, but not often the quality will go down due to buffering and at times getting it to play initially might take a minute or two. While it may not look 100% as good on the TV compared to when you watch Netflix app built in on your own HD TV, I'm pretty happy with the results.

It should work fine over your provider. When you connect to the adapter, everything is casted on to the TV or Projector. You should be able to cast anything. From Netflix to YouTube. Even moviebox worked great.
