I don’t believe it would work as the lightening connection on a Mac book is for charging only. The lightening connection on iPhone, iPad and iPods are for multiple uses, not just charging.

Your MacBook Pro should have a “thunderbolt” connection, not a lightning connection. So no this won’t work. There are thunderbolt to AV, HDMI, etc. adapters available though.

If you can plug your phone charger into your mac then it could possible work. Call your Best Buy to make sure!
