I use mine to stream Netflix and Hulu from my iPad to my television, and it works great!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. Is not a streaming device. But yes, you can play netflix or amazon prime in your apple device and watch it on your TV.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.No. Just bought it and does not work even with a brand new $40 hdmi cable... major suckage apple’s side.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I don't have a definitive answer to your first question. It has HDMI out, so it will work with any HDMI display, TV, projector, monitor or otherwise. HDMI does carry sound, but not all monitors and projectors support sound on HDMI, so you'll need to find out about the specs of your monitor. You'd need another adapter for displayport, VGA or DVI (other common monitor inputs). As for your second question, it's simple. With this device plugged in, everything you see on your phone/ipad will automatically be mirrored on the screen. No special settings to change or anything. So, just play the video as you normally would on your phone with this connected and the picture and sound will be on your TV. Very simple.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I would expect it would display those just fine. I connect my iPad Pro to a flat screen TV for students to view Vimeo and YouTube using this lightning to HDMI adapter.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. If you access Netflix via phone it will
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes it works
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Streaming is a yes. The screen on your iPad/iPhone/iPod will show that it is being mirrored and the video will be full screen resolution vs the iDevice resolution. If you attach to a monitor with HDMI it will work as any other input would. As for DisplayPort, I believe you can get an adapter of HDMI to DP then to the monitor.
