“I just bought the new MacBook Air. 8 gig 256 storage. Two questions. The battery life only lasted 6 1/2 hours before telling me to plug . I’ve had it for 4 days. Also I notice at times the pages are slow to load up. Thoughts?”

Give it some time. I had the same issue for about a week after purchase, but it runs fine now.

Granted, i am not there to see how long you used it for, what was being used during the time, etc. Applications have various levels of energy they will need to use. Big applications such as Garage Band, music apps, photo editing, printing, web browsing believe it or not. It is encouraged that if you are utilizing the machine with your charger handy, to plug in either at the start of tasks or towards the last quarter of life before it auto shuts down. Be mindful to unplug the charger when its fully complete as leaving it charging (overnight is fine) but if lets say, you dont use it all day and its charging, its going to hurt the batter more than if its not being used without charging.
