Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The mouse had a lightning port and is usable with the lightning to traditional USB cables, just charges much slower. Alternatively you could charge it with the USB-C with a wall adapter. It will connect to the iMac as long as it has Bluetooth capability.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.As long as your iMac supports Bluetooth, it should work fine. You do not need to connect it physically if you have access to another mouse. Turn the mouse on (switch on the bottom, slide it so the green is showing). From the menu bar, select the Bluetooth icon, then click "Bluetooth Preferences" From the Bluetooth control panel, it should appear in the lower section (circled in green) and you just click the "connect" button. If it doesn't appear, charge it for an hour, then try again.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I used my old lightning cable for my iphone with usb A and plug it in the back of my Imac then Bluetooth connection pop up in the screen then just click it and after that it shows that new mouse is connected.
