When the trackpad is on the USB cable (charging mode), its Bluetooth capability is turned off but it is still fully functional as a pointing device.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You can use it over USB (the included cable is "Lightning" on the trackpad end and USB-A on the computer end) but I have not found a way to turn off the Bluetooth. You need to turn the device on for it to work over USB, but then Bluetooth comes on and it automatically pairs with my Macbook Pro. (I'm not given an option to decline.) I want to share it between two computers, via KVM, but this only works when I turn off the MBP's Bluetooth completely. Very annoying!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I do not believe you can...there is a inlet for charging only.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No , there is no USB port on the track pad
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You can turn off Bluetooth, but why on earth would you want to do that. It works beautifully on the Bluetooth. I suppose you can use the cord instead, but I’m thinking that is only for charging it. Don’t know for sure.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.
