“Can this cord be used with older versions of the iphone or only starting with the 12?”

• It definitely can be used as a wireless charger for older iPhones. Before I got my 12 Pro Max, I used the magsafe on my 11 Pro Max and it worked. The one “but” about it though is that the magnetic part of the magsafe charger is only with the new iPhone 12’s.

• Any phone, iPhone or other manufacturer, that supports wireless charging, can use this. Just be aware that any case of substance will prevent this from charging your phone.

• The MagSafe charger can be used as a Qi charger with any phone that has Qi charging. The charger won’t snap in the back of the other phones like a magnet but it will charge it like any other Qi charger (including airpods)z

• it charges older versions of the iphone (as long as they’re compatible with wireless charging) but you need a usb-c box to plug it into!
