Buy your watch and don’t tell it who your favorite cellular provider is. I promise it will love and treat you right. Only if you want to use the watch as a stand along unit like if you leave the phone in the car and go for a swim, workout at the gym, or for a jog, will you have to call Verizon and set this watch up on a data plan. If your Bluetooth is on and phone is nearby, your watch will work just fine.

If you have a cell plan, it will be an extra $10 a month to add the watch on and yea it will work with iPhone 11. I am still using an iPhone 7 Plus with mine. If you do not have a cellular plan then I would only get the (gps) version without cellular.
