Your watch will connect to your phone not by cellular but by Bluetooth. You will use your cellular when, for example, you leave your phone at home and go for a jog. You will need to set this watch up with a data plan, with the cell provider of your choice, if you plan to use this device as a stand alone unit. If that’s not your cup of tea, go for the non-cellular version and save yourself some cash money.
