A:Answer The short answer is “No” because very few devices will actually claim to be waterproof anymore. They will tell you that they are “Water Resistant,” to a certain depth. That is the case with the Apple Watch (series 2 and later). However, it is advertised as a swimming watch, and even has a function specifically for deactivating the screen while in the water, and then emitting blast of sound in order to eject water from the speaker port. So, while it is not “waterproof,” it can still be used under normal water conditions. It will never be a dive watch, but you should be able to take it swimming, wash your hands, wear it in the shower, etc. without worry (according to Apple).
