• Not really, unless you have your phone near by. GPS(Global Positioning System) means that it only has a GPS receiver and no cellular coverage. It will pair with your iPhone so that you can call and text on the watch through your iPhone. The GPS feature works with map apps so you don't have to have your iPhone with you but you can take hikes and have a GPS receiver on your wrist.
