• The gps only watch can work like a phone only if you have the phone near you. You and answer phone calls and text messages from the watch as long as you are near the phone. If you get to far away you will no longer have many feature of the watch that would require data (weather, news, etc)

• The GPS can be used to find your phone while close enough to get a signal. The Cellular means that you need a plan from your phone company and it gets its own phone number- meaning you do not need to be within range of your phone for it to make calls, texts, etc.
