Only selected carrier can provided data for apple watch, please contact the carrier to get specific. I believe Sprint has the cheapest plan for apple watch but your phone needs to be in same carrier as you watch's data provider. Sorry

Yes GPS works with any iPhone just have to have Bluetooth on at all times for the watch to get info from it
