No, the GPS only models use your iphones internet. The GPS + Cellular models have their own internet (data) but you have to pay for it though your cell phone carrier.

Yes, it works off of your iPhone. If you don’t have an iPhone, you have to purchase the one that has the cellular option. It’s more expensive.

The one I purchased did not, but you do have the option. I just wasn’t interested.
