Q: QuestionWhat is the range for oxygen measurement?
Asked by Mia.
- A:Answer The Apple Watch Series 6 can measure blood oxygen levels between 70 and 100 percent. Most healthy people have blood oxygen levels that range from 95 to 100 percent, though those with COPD and other lung diseases may have a lower average percentage. Hope that answers your question.

Q: Questioncan I leave the waterproof function on full time? Does it take away from performance?
Asked by gordon.
- A:Answer Leaving your watch in water mode locks the screen and must be disabled to navigate your watch. So yes, you could do that, however you’ll loose most the functionality of the watch if you do.

Q: Questionan a 6 inch wrist wear the 44 mm
Asked by Marly2359.
- A:Answer You “should” be able to. The reason I say “should” is because this is kind of a personal preference. My wife has a 44mm watch and her wrist is about 6”. She feels the 40mm would be too small for viewing whatever is displayed on the watch’s face. Might I suggest, dropping by your local BB store and put each watch on your wrist. There isn’t a great deal of difference between the 40mm and 44mm, IMO. It may boil down to what you feel is best for viewing what’s displayed on the watch’s face.

Q: QuestionDo both the GPS and GPS/Cellular keep track of your steps?
Asked by RJ.
- A:Answer Yes, both models keep track of your steps. All models, GPS and GPS/Cellular support the step counting feature. The only difference between the two is that the cellular model can maintain a cellular connection, allowing you to place and receive calls, send texts, and much more, without your iPhone nearby. Meaning you can go for a walk, and essentially have your phone calls, texts, and music streaming, all without carrying your iPhone with you.

Q: QuestionWhy can’t the battery be replaced? How long does the existing battery last before it will not keep a charge for the stated 18 hours.
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer The battery cannot be user replaced because the device is sealed for water resistance. This means that the battery and other internal components, are sealed in the aluminum body of the Watch, beneath the display. The battery can, however, be replaced by an authorized technician at an Apple authorized service location. In my own use, the battery life has been tremendous. Typically I can get about 1.5 to 2 days of wear out of the Watch before recharging. Of course this will vary with your usage, however I use the device primarily for notifications and workout tracking, and often charge at the end of the day to be safe. In a pinch, about a 30 minute charge will charge the Watch back to about 25-30%. In terms of battery longevity, my previous Watch lasted around 1.5 to 2 years before I noticed any significant change to the capacity, so for at least a year or two you should have no problems!

Q: QuestionWith other smartwatches getting 6+ days of use before charging, why do the Apple watches only get 18 hours of use before the need to charge them? I thought they were such a great technology company, but the fact of the low usage numbers is a factor.
Asked by Medevac.
- A:Answer Many of the other “smartwatches” with 6 day battery life are typically less user focused, and designed to simply ping for a notification or to monitor heart rate and blood oxygen, steps taken, and estimate calories burned. The Apple Watch is essentially an extension of the iPhone, with a full color touch display. The Apple Watch is constantly in communication with the iPhone, allowing you to send messages, make phone calls, stream music, and more right from your wrist. This factor of extension, and having everything basically ready at when you need it, is the primary reason why the Apple Watch only has 18 hour battery life. However, when compared feature for feature against smartwatches from competitors, like Fitbit, Samsung, and other Android smartwatches, the Apple Watch delivers a user experience far beyond those. Essentially it comes down to what you value more, a limited experience with 6 days of battery, or a feature rich experience in a device you charge in the morning or before bed. It’s really all a matter of buying what you need most, what’s in your budget, and what experience you’re looking for.
