- Answer Unless you purchased a cellular version, it comes out of the box ready to be used. So if you buy it as a gift, the person you give it to (lucky person) they can start using it right away. The most complicated part of using an Apple Watch is pairing it with an iPhone. Note: I am an Apple person, I have no idea how this Apple Watch works with an Android phone.

- Answer YES, in fact, this is a great option! I keep mine all the time on me. If I am not sure 100% that it can stay that long in the water I am just turning on the “Water” mode on the Watch itself.
