• Other than "Marvel Super Heroes: War of the Gems" (which appears to be a console port) they are using the Arcade version.

• According to the FAQ from Arcade 1 Up, I think it's from the original arcade, which is good and bad. True to form, but not as many customizable options or gameplay. I love my Saturn Xmen Children of the Atom

• I checked with Arcade1up directly and they stated all their machines are based upon the arcade versions. They do not use console versions on any of their gaming titles. I hope this answers your question.
