Hi Pam, Yes, you can play every game 1 player only. Having said that, for 2 Player, the 2nd player must press the '2-Player' button on their side. You'll have to get with BB on ordering although I think when you order an item, as soon as it's available (this one being around Halloween), they just ship it. I don't think they 'hold orders' Hope this helps!!
